This course covers the employment of our constant companion, the pistol, in defensive (self) and protective (others) roles, primarily from the standpoint of everyday carry and home defense settings. Guided discussions on mindset and gear selection, range work and drills to build skills, all in varied lighting conditions.
Our Handgunnery series of courses explore the various ways and techniques in which “white light” devices can be utilized to overcome adverse lighting conditions (low light, no light). White light devices produce illumination that human eyes can directly see without any kind of external amplification or processing. We explore the two primary options for utilization of white light devices.
The use of handheld lights (aka, “flashlights”) is effectively limited to situations wherein you employ your handgun. There are various techniques that may be employed to coordinate the use of both a handheld light and your handgun.
